About Powerful Schools Community Room and Community Studio: Because we believe in the power of community, Powerful Schools designed our new home offices with room for the community to create, learn and share. As an education and arts non-profit, we believe that a vibrant community is essential to the positive development of children.
Our community room and studio, located at the beloved site of the former Chubby & Tubby Annex store (famous for $1 Christmas Trees) in SE Seattle, promote such a community. We welcome rentals from groups-large and small- to come create, learn and share at community home. Rentals are available Monday-Sunday 7a-10p. All of the proceeds from your rental fees support Powerful Schools’ programming!
Our Community Studio is a lovely space that includes mirrors, changing space, restroom, and storage cubbies. Also includes amazing hard wood flooring (can be covered for art rentals). The studio is approx. 700 square feet, making it perfect for dance, yoga, karate, fitness, and other movement classes. The Community Studio is also ideal for use as a gallery space.
Our Community Room includes tables, chairs, white board, access to projector, flip chart easel and wireless internet. The space is flexible for various configurations and ideal for meetings, trainings, receptions, classes, and gatherings. A spacious kitchen and lobby are adjacent and available for catering needs.

- Theatre Style – 35 people
- Classroom Style – 35 people
- Reception Style- 40-50 people
- U-Shape Conference Style – 21 people in a classic style with presentation POV, up to 30 with other configuration.
